Nothings changed in the ERP Business in the last 10 years.  Not much except that the old recipe is not working as well as it used to.   ERP Users are struggling to grow and the frustration amongst customers is real.  There are many customers who would like to implement ERP Systems but cannot afford them.  Other customers would like to leverage from the web and develop business applications at their own pace, one application at a time.  Open Source will allow us to meet these customer’s needs.  Open Source has demonstrated it’s value in many areas and is now gaining momentum in the world of Business Applications.

Licensing Fees
We believe that ERP and Business Applications should not be a luxury that only large corporations can afford. The penetration rate of ERP Solutions is less than 20% for the mid size segment.  Even large companies express their frustration with the high cost of their ERP Solutions and the long term implementation cycles. At OpenSoft we think that ERP and Business Applications should not be a luxury.  They should be affordable and the implementation cycle should be short.  They should also be easy to customize and use.

In the past you had little choice.  Proprietory suppliers charge billions of dollars for licensing costs every year. But is that the best way to use your money?  No matter how sophisticated the software is, adjustments are always needed.  We believe that customers should use their budget smartly and invest in customizing the application to their specific needs, rather than paying expensive license fees.  Open Source allows this. Open source is a disruptive model because it creates more value for the customer.  Software vendors drive up to 80% of there revenues from licenses.  How can Open Source vendors survive without license revenues ?OpenSoft does not charge license fees, all our revenues are service based.

An Efficient Development model: We leverage from the improvements in the software driven by community members. As a result hundreds of modules have been developed to date.
A Volume Based Sales Model: The software can be downloaded for free.  Thousands of customers test open souce software every month and when the time is right for them, they turn to us to implement their solution.  This allows us to reduce very significantly our sales and marketing costs compared to other vendors.
No need for an expensive Sales Force: Since there is no licensing cost, any potential customer can download the software, test it and use it if it meets it’s needs.  We have no need for an expensive sales force to promote the product.
Offering SAAS Cloud based options: SAAS or Software As A Service is a Software on Demand Model where we offer Business Applications deployed on a cloud.  This minimizes on local based infrastructure overhead and we offer better customization rates for Cloud Based clients.
